The National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s 2020 Presidential Candidate has filed a motion for the Supreme Court to review its decision dismissing the interrogatives he served on the Electoral Commission (EC).
John Mahama’s lawyers have argued that answers to the interrogatives are critical to the timely resolution of the 2020 Presidential Election Petition currently pending before the court.
The Petitioner was asking the Electoral Commission among others to answer if the National Communications Authority (NCA) played any role or facilitated in any way, the transmission of the election results to its headquarters.
The apex court in a 7-0 decision on Tuesday, dismissed the application for interrogatives the Petitioner served on the EC on grounds that Constitutional Instrument (C.I.) 16 as amended by C.I. 99 has amended the rules on interrogatives.
But Mr Mahama is in court asking the Supreme Court to review its decision on the interrogatives.
