The Supreme Court of Ghana has granted an application filed by the 2020 Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to correct some errors contained in his Election Petition.

UPSANEWSROOM.com‘s Court correspondent has reported that the apex court has granted leave for the petitioner to amend mistakes on the face of his petition challenging the election of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

This took place on the first day of the hearing of the Presidential Election Petition on Thursday.

Responding to an earlier objection by lawyers for the First Respondent which is the Electoral Commission in the matter, the court asked; “haven’t you made mistakes before? We all make mistakes don’t we?”

UPSANEWSROOM.com can confirm that hearing has been adjourned to Tuesday 19th January 2021, for case management.
