Education, Regional Reorganisation Ministers on admission over Covid-19

Two Ministers are currently on admission at the University of Ghana Medical Centre over a possible case of Covid-19.

The two, Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku-Prempeh and Regional Reorganisation Minister, Daniel Botwe are both unwell after their constituency election over the weekend.

In separate statements, the two ministers said they are currently on admission awaiting results.

“I have undertaken several tests including tests for Covid-19 and await results,” the Regional Reorganisation Minister said on Wednesday.

The Education Minister’s statement was issued by his Press Secretary, Rodney Nkrumah-Boateng.

“The Minister for Education, Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh announces that he is currently detained at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), in Accra,” the statement.

Meanwhile, UPSANEWSROOM.com’s sources at the Jubilee House have revealed there is currently a ban on Cabinet meeting owing to the record number of senior government officials contracting the virus.
