The President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra is asking students to abide all the rules and guidelines pertaining to the online examination as it commences today.
In a statement issued Monday, Peter Mwin Zumah expressed confidence in the students to excel in their exams despite the exceptional difficulties brought on by the coronavirus.
“This type of examination may be new but the SRC is confident that students will rise up to the occasion and discharge their duties faithfully as they have always done in the past during the in-person examination,” the President said in the statement.
The second semester examination at the University of Professional Studies, Accra starts today.
However, this semester’s exam will not be the usual in-person type were students crowd inside a lecture hall with an invigilator due to the threat posed by the coronavirus.
The SRC President is encouraging students ensure they submit their answer script within the stipulated 48 hours to avoid any complications.
“We want to reiterate that students have 48 hours within which to submit their answer script through first the virtual platform and/or designated course email addresses and this must be respected as late submission will not be tolerated,” Mr Mwin Zumah said.
He also warned against plagiarism.
“Let’s guard against plagiarism since your answers would be subjected to a plagiarism test by the university upon receipt,” the statement added.
