UPSA SRC President, Peter Mwin Zumah was quizzed by the Oheneba Nana Osei Kumi Committee for more than one hour

The President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra has appeared before the Committee of Inquiry probing the school fees scandal involving two officers of the Council.

The hour-long discussion held on Friday saw Mr Mwin Zumah quizzed on the role he played in the process leading to the payment of school fees for some needy but brilliant students in April 2020.

UPSANEWSROOM.com has gathered the SRC President was forthright with the committee that he made the final payment at the Access Bank branch in front of the school.

Mr Mwin Zumah was later asked by the Committee to submit the list of students who benefited from the SRC aid this semester.

But UPSANEWSROOM.com can confirm that the list of students who had their fees paid for them by the SRC has been submitted to the Oheneba Nana Osei Kumi Committee.

The Committee is investigating the SRC Vice President, Nathaniel Jill Addo Junior and the Deputy General Assembly Speaker, Simeon Yao Mede who have been accused of extorting various sums from some students in order to place them on the welfare list.
