
The President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra has sworn in members of a Committee of Inquiry set up to probe an allegation involving two senior officers of the administration.
Late Wednesday, Peter Mwin Zumah administered the Oath of Office to the members of the Committee at a virtual ceremony.

“The inquiry must be done without ill-will or malice,” the SRC President charged the members after the ceremony.
The committee members are Oheneba Nana Osei Kumi (Chairman), Sharon Dzifa Torsu (Deputy Chairman), Nii Laryeafio Benedict (Member), Asantewaa Diawuo (Secretary), and Kwakye Gabriel (Member).

Mr Mwin Zumah reiterated the need for the Committee to extend the necessary facilities to the two senior members of the SRC administration namely the SRC Vice President, Nathaniel Jill Addo Junior and Deputy General Assembly Speaker, Simeon Mede Yao.

The two are alleged to have extorted monies from students after making them beneficiaries of the SRC Welfare package meant for need but brilliant students.
Laying claim to a legitimate power under the SRC Constitution and the 1992 Constitution the President has set up a committee to probe the matter.
The committee has up to Sunday to submit its findings to Mr Mwin Zumah for the necessary action.
The Chairman of the Committee, Oheneba Nana Osei Kumi has assured the President of their preparedness to observe due diligence in their work.
