The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended its former Central Regional Chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacob effective Wednesday.
The NDC in a letter addressed to the embattled former chairman and sighted by UPSANEWSROOM.com said the decision was arrived at after a high-powered meeting.
“The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, at its meeting held on Wednesday the 6th day of May, 2020, has suspended you forthright…,” the letter read.
Mr Allotey Jacob has been accused by the party of defending the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in his daily commentaries after losing the party’s regional position.
UPSANEWROOM.com‘s sources have revealed the recent posturing of Mr Allotey Jacob may have been responsible for the party’s decision.
