Students of the University of Professional Studies, Accra have up to the end of next week to do their registration, the Vice-Chancellor has said.
Although he admitted registration should have ended by now, Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey said the school has extended the period because of plight of students as a result of the Covid-19.
“They still can go out and register [because] we will close registration after next week so that they can go ahead and write the exams,” the Vice-Chancellor disclosed this during a discussion on Accra-based TV station, Joy News on Sunday.
The University of Professional Studies, Accra has set May 02, 2020, as the deadline for payment of fees and registration.
But UPSANEWSROOM.com sources say out of a student population of over 15,000, a total of 13500 have paid their fees and registered for the second semester.
With barely two weeks to the start of the school’s online examination, Professor Okoe Amartey says students who have not paid their fees still have time to do that.
“Usually we would have closed registration up to this time,” he said, adding: “[but] they still can go out and register.”
The Vice-Chancellor was emphatic registration will close after next week in order to pave way for the online exams.
