The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra is expected to interact with the leadership of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and Course Representatives of the school today, Tuesday, April 28, 2020, UPSANEWSROOM.com has learnt.
The meeting scheduled to start at 7 p.m. will be held on videoconferencing platform, Zoom.
This will be the second time Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey will be meeting the representatives of the students since the school was closed as a result of the threat posed by the coronavirus.
UPSANEWSROOM.com‘s sources say the Vice-Chancellor will update the students’ representatives on the school’s preparation towards the upcoming online examination scheduled to start on May 18, 2020.
He will also use the opportunity to appeal to the leaders to speak to students who are yet to pay their school fees to do so before the start of the exam.
UPSANEWSROOM.com‘s sources have further revealed Professor Okoe Amartey may briefly touch on the duration given to students to transmit their responses in the upcoming exams which nearly sparked tension between students and management after the release of the examination timetable last Saturday.
The examination timetable had captured 24 hours as the period for students to send their responses to the respective lecturers despite an earlier communication from the university communicating 48 hours.
But this anomaly has since been corrected with the release of the final examination timetable.
