President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn in the Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku as the new Deputy Health Minister.
The President administered the Oath of Minister of State to Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye on Monday at the Flagstaff House.
Dr Oko-Boye replaces Alexander Kwadwo Kom Abban who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Communications as a Deputy Minister there.
His appointment comes at a time the country is battling with the coronavirus pandemic with a record 1,042 cases.
“But, I am very confident that he has what it takes to confront this challenge,” the President said at the brief ceremony held at the Jubilee House.
