Eastern Region now third highest-hit coronavirus region with 28 cases

Eastern Region follows the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions as the epicentres of the coronavirus

The Eastern Region has now recorded a total of 28 cases of coronavirus infection, making it the third region with the highest number of cases.

All the new eight cases were recorded in the Lower Manya Krobo District, UPSANEWSROOM.com has learnt.

It follows after Greater Accra and Ashanti regions identified as the epicentres of the coronavirus in the country.

The national tally is now 378 cases with six deaths and four recoveries, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo announced at his sixth COVID-19 address to the nation on Thursday.

The disease is currently in eight out of the 16 regions of the country. They include the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern and Central regions. The rest are Upper East, Upper West, Eastern and North East regions.
