Access Bank gifts new ambulance to UPSA amidst growing coronavirus cases

Access Bank has donated a new ambulance to the University of Professional Studies, Accra in appreciation of their longstanding business relationship.

This comes three years after the school petitioned the bank to support its Medical Centre with medical supplies.

“We believe in giving back to society,” the Divisional Head of Retail Banking at Access Bank, Mr Stephen Abban, said at the handing over ceremony.

“We know UPSA has a large student population and large staff base. We, therefore, believe the Clinic they have here would need an ambulance in order to serve the whole university community,” he added.

An excited UPSA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey, thanked the bank for the gesture.

“This is the best time for us to have an ambulance because we are in the midst of a global pandemic,” he noted, adding: “even though by the grace of God, no UPSA staff or student [has contracted] the covid-19, it is imperative we take precautionary measures.”
