President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will address Ghanaians today over the government’s handling of the growing cases of the COVID-19.
The President is expected to announce more measures to contain the situation, UPSANEWSROOM.com has gathered.
But there will not be an announcement for a “lockdown,” Information Minister, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah has said.
The Minister tweeted Saturday that President Akufo-Addo chaired an Inter-Ministerial Taskforce on COVID-19 meeting to discuss more novel ways of handling the situation.
“@NAkufoAddo has just concluded a mtg of the Covid-19 response ctee. H.E. Will address the nation tonight with latest updates and measures. But no he will not be announcing a lockdown so don’t panic. #SpreadCalmNotFear,” Mr Oppong-Nkrumah wrote.
The time for the address has not been announced but UPSANEWSROOM.com has gathered it will be 10 PM, exactly the same time the second one was broadcasted to Ghanaians.
