Ghana has now recorded nine cases of coronavirus infection as on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
The ninth case was recorded last night, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah has disclosed.
“Unfortunately, we have confirmed two more cases overnight. Ghana’s case count is now at 9,” the Minister tweeted at 8:29 PM.
Unlike Togo and a few other African countries that have shown visible signs in managing their situations from escalating, Ghana’s appear to be getting worse by the day.
The first two cases in Ghana were reported last Thursday but the number has been rising since then.
But the Information Minister said the situation is being contained by Health officials.
“Health services are still managing all suspected and confirmed cases well,” the Minister tweeted.
