Ghana has recorded a total of six cases of coronavirus infection since last Thursday when the first two cases were reported.
The four additional cases were imported into the country, Director of Public Health at Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie, has said.
The Ghana Health Service has revealed two of the cases were confirmed on 13th of March 2020, while the other two were confirmed on 14th March, 2020.
Each of the six affected people has been in touch with a total of over 200 people since arriving in Ghana, UPSANEWSROOM.com has gathered.
Several institutions have reacted to the growing cases of coronavirus infection ordering shutdown and directing staff to self-quarantine until further notice.
The University of Ghana, Legon has cancelled all lectures and Interim Assessments for the Second Semester due to the outbreak.
The Bui Power Authority has also directed its staff who have children in some three international schools in the country, to self-quarantine for a period of three weeks.
