A level 200 Bachelor of law student of the University of Professional Studies, Accra has declared her intention to compete in the coveted Face of UPSA for this year.
Victoria Appiah said she arrived at the decision because of the need to empower the women in the school to believe in themselves and aim for the ultimate in life.
In an exclusive interview with UPSANEWSROOM.com’s Boamah Venessa Oduma Wednesday, Ms Appiah said her lifelong ambition is to inspire a generation of achievers.
She told the reporter she harbours the dream of becoming “a legal advocate, a media personality and a fashion icon.”
The Face of UPSA is one of the most prestigious tertiary beauty pageant events held across the country. It is open to only students of the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
The first three winners of the pageant walk home with assorted awards packages which are the envy of the university community.
Although the 2020 edition is yet to start, Ms Appiah believes the time is ripe to make her ambition known to the students.
“Let’s win this together,” she appealed to the student body.
She has pledged to add her voice, talent and resources to women empowerment on campus and across the country when she emerged victorious in the competition.
