Akufo-Addo suspends all foreign travels over coronavirus

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has placed a “temporary” ban on all foreign travels for Ghanaian public officials over the coronavirus disease.

In a statement signed by Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, on Tuesday, the president said only “critical travels” would be considered.

“This directive together with the other measures being put in place by Government is intended to protect the general public from contracting the virus,” the statement said.
