A prominent sculpture of Professor Joshua Alabi, the first Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra has fallen into serious disrepair.
Despite Professor Alabi’s legacy and works done inside and outside the university, his monument has largely been neglected, UPSANEWSROOM.com’s Osei Kumi has reported Monday.
“This is telling of the Ghanaian maintenance culture that has always been a problem,” the reporter said.
Professor Alabi’s bust was unveiled alongside four others in August 2017 for various roles played toward the development and growth of the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
But barely three years after the sculpture sitting in the middle of the school was outdoored to the public, UPSANEWSROOM.com has reported that it is deteriorating.
