The SRC Auditor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra has been robbed at his hostel barely a week after he released a report implicating some officers of the student council.
UPSANEWSROOM.com has learnt the robbers may have used sleeping gas to sedate Mr Tenkorang Emmanuel into a deep sleep when they stormed his room Wednesday.
They made away with his laptop containing some highly classified documents and an undisclosed sum of money.
The incident comes days after the SRC Auditor published a report in which some officers of the council, including SRC President, Peter MwinZumah were cited for various financial infractions.
Mr Tenkorang is celebrating his birthday today. But UPSANEWSROOM.com’s sources have revealed the tough-talking Auditor has been left devastated by the attack.
It is, however, not clear if the robbery has anything to do with the report which has triggered the setting up of a Commission of Inquiry by the General Assembly to probe the matter.
