The Electoral Commission of the UPSA Student Representative Council (SRC) will be meeting all potential aspirants for departmental and SRC positions today.
In a statement copied UPSANEWSROOM.com Wednesday, the Commission will be discussing the processes leading to the 2020 General Elections on campus.
The time for the meeting is 2 pm at LBC 105A, the statement by the SRC EC boss, Appoh Papulius read.
“The content of the Constitutional Instrument (C.I) that would be used in conducting this year’s General Elections yet to be submitted for the approval of the General Assembly on Friday, February 7, 2020, would be discussed,” the statement said.
The Commission is expected to present its budget and programme outline for the 2020 elections to the General Assembly for its approval this Friday.
The meeting with the potential aspirants will provide a forum for the Commission to solicit their views with regards to its activities ahead of the first GA session.
“The Commission will also use the opportunity to throw more light on the Paperless and anti-electoral poster Campaign that was announced in January,” the statement read.
All potential aspirants have been encouraged to attend.
