An out of control fire tore through another dormitory in Accra Academy on Tuesday, UPSANEWSROOM.com has learnt.
The fire, the second since the beginning of the year, reportedly started at 7:30 pm.
The situation has compelled school authorities to ask students to sleep in pairs, UPSANEWSROOM.com has gathered.
No casualties have been reported, but UPSANEWSROOM.com has learnt students have lost their monies and properties to the flame.
“I lost GHS400, boots, jerseys and everything else,” a student was reported as saying.
Meanwhile, a board member of the school has said the lost properties of the students would be replaced.
“We know how traumatic this is. It is why we have assembled you people here to talk to you. We understand this is traumatic and scary. We are trying to find out what the cause of the fire is and we will get to know it,” he said.
