Disputed land doesn’t belong to UPSA – Lands Minister

Lands Minister Asomah-Cheremeh

The Lands Minister has challenged the University of Professional Studies, Accra, to produce documents indicating its ownership of some disputed lands.

At a media briefing in Accra, Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, said the lands belonged to the government because no evidence has been produced in defense of the school.

He, however, acknowledged there are some national security implications if the dispute is not resolved amicably and timely.

Mr Asomah-Cheremeh said a meeting among all disputed parties has been scheduled for Monday to address any outstanding concerns.

He hinted at a massive demolition exercise that would take place at places where government lands have been encroached.
