‘Christmas should teach us humility, love’ – UPSA SRC Electoral Commissioner to Ghanaians

‘We rise and fall together as a people,’ UPSA SRC EC boss, Appoh Papulius (PAPS)

Electoral Commissioner of the Students Representative Council (SRC), Appoh Papulius (PAPS) has charged students and staff of the University of Professional Studies, Accra and the entire Ghanaians to emulate the humble beginning of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day.

The SRC EC boss in a Christmas message Wednesday said there are many great lessons that could be learned from the birth of Jesus Christmas that would half the problems of the world.

“There are many great lessons for us to learn from His humble birth, including love, humility, sacrifice, selflessness, and unity,” he said.

He added: “As staff and students of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), we rise and fall together. It is therefore important for us to love one another as never before in both deeds and words.”

Touching on the 2020 General Elections on both UPSA campus and across the country, Mr Papulius encouraged students and Ghanaians to use the festive season to pray for peace during the processes.

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF THE STUDENTS REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL (SRC) OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES, ACCRA TO UPSA STAFF, STUDENTS AND ENTIRE GHANAIANS

Today, we remember the birth of our master and saviour Jesus Christ who offered Himself as a glorious sacrifice to save humanity. There are many great lessons for us to learn from His humble birth, including love, humility, sacrifice, selflessness, and unity.

As staff and students of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), we rise and fall together. It is therefore important for us to love one another as never before in both deeds and words.

On the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Electoral Commissioner and other members of the Commission wish all UPSA staff, students and entire Ghanaians a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year 2020.

We pray for peace, tranquillity, and brotherliness in the 2020 General Elections both on UPSA campus and in the country.

  1. Christmas is not a festival of enjoyment but festival of reflection on the second coming of our master saviour Jesus Christ.
