Parliament has okayed an amount of ¢98 billion as spending money for the government in 2020.
The amount would be spent by the various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies from January 1 to December 31, 2020.
But the approval was greeted by some controversies from the Minority who called for the Electoral Commission (EC)’s budget earmarked for the compilation of a new voter’s register to be removed.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmakers have been against a new voter’s register, arguing the current one is fit to be used to conduct the 2020 General Elections.
